The 77th Canadian International Air Show is taking place in Toronto over Labour Day weekend, from Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7, 2026. The official flying program runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. daily.
Friday, September 4 was the scheduled practice day, also from noon to 3:40 p.m. Monday, September 7 is the final show day for 2026.
The air show is performed over Lake Ontario, so the exact order of aircraft and manoeuvres can change. CIAS says the flying schedule is published each morning and may be adjusted because of weather or aircraft maintenance. That means visitors should treat the daily timetable as flexible rather than expecting every act to appear at a fixed minute.
| Date | Status | Flying time |
|---|---|---|
| Friday, September 4 | Practice day | 12:00 p.m.–3:40 p.m. |
| Saturday, September 5 | Show day | 12:00 p.m.–3:40 p.m. |
| Sunday, September 6 | Show day | 12:00 p.m.–3:40 p.m. |
| Monday, September 7 | Final show day | 12:00 p.m.–3:40 p.m. |
The main ticketed viewing area, called the Exclusive Air Show Zone, is at 1095 Lakeshore Boulevard West, Toronto. It sits inside Marilyn Bell Park, across Lakeshore Boulevard from the OVO Athletic Centre and the Canadian National Exhibition grounds.
The show can also be seen from parts of the CNE and from public areas along the waterfront. Those free viewing spots may provide a side angle, and they generally do not include the event’s live narration or the same direct view available from the Exclusive Air Show Zone.
The adjoining STEM Runway is free to enter and is scheduled to operate from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the show weekend. It includes aerospace displays and food vendors, but a ticket is required to enter the Exclusive Air Show Zone.
Gates for the Exclusive Air Show Zone open at 10:00 a.m., two hours before flying begins. Tickets include same-day access to the CNE, according to the organizers. The ticketed area includes seating, food vendors, narration, washrooms, and designated accessible seating.
CIAS tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. In poor weather, the event may operate a modified low or flat show, or some performances may be cancelled for safety reasons. Displays and performer meet-and-greet activities may still continue if flying is restricted.
For people watching from home, CIAS has announced both a narration-only stream and a live video stream for 2026. The video stream is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, while audio narration is expected to be available on all three show days.

The official 2026 performer list includes the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Demonstration, the RCAF CP-140 Aurora, the RCAF CH-146 Griffon, the RCMP Black Hawk helicopter, the RCAF Heritage Flight, and the Harvard Mk II.
The civilian and historic lineup includes the Jack Aces Formation Aerobatic Team, Mike Tryggvason flying an Edge 540, Redline Air Shows, the Pink Jet, a Beechcraft Expeditor, a Nanchang CJ6 flown by Dan Fortin, a Hawker Hurricane, a Supermarine Spitfire, and a T-33.
The Snowbirds are also listed on the Government of Canada’s 2026 schedule for Toronto from September 5–7. As with every air show, individual appearances remain subject to weather, aircraft serviceability, and operational changes.

Exhibition GO Station is one of the most convenient choices. From the station, walk through the CNE grounds toward the west end of Princes’ Boulevard, exit onto British Columbia Road, and cross Lakeshore Boulevard at the pedestrian crossing. The walk from the station area to the Exclusive Air Show Zone can take about 20 minutes at an average pace.
The 504B King streetcar, 29 Dufferin bus, 511 Bathurst streetcar, and 509 Harbourfront streetcar are among the routes identified by CIAS as practical options for reaching the CNE and Exhibition Loop area. From there, allow extra time to walk through the grounds and across Lakeshore Boulevard.
Parking around the CNE, Ontario Place, and Lakeshore Boulevard is limited and can fill early. CIAS identifies Green P parking lot 855 near the OVO Athletic Centre as one of the closest options, but availability and rates can change. Ontario Place parking is farther away, with a walk of roughly 30 minutes to the viewing area.
Traffic patterns around the CNE are particularly busy during Labour Day weekend. If you drive, arrive early and expect to walk. Public transit is the better choice for most visitors.
The Bailey Bridge is not open for the 2026 air show. Visitors coming from the CNE or Ontario Place must use the British Columbia Road pedestrian crossing to cross Lakeshore Boulevard and reach the STEM Runway and ticketed viewing area.
Guests entering the Exclusive Air Show Zone should first look for the red STEM Runway arches. The ticketed entrance is reached through the red rectangular tent on the south side of that enclosure.

Toronto Police, the Toronto Port Authority, and Transport Canada have announced a marine exclusion zone covering the Western Channel of Toronto Harbour and much of Humber Bay during show activities. Hanlan’s Point Beach is closed to watercraft during the event, and boaters must follow marine personnel instructions.
Temporary flight restrictions are also expected around the demonstration area. Drones and other remotely piloted aircraft are not permitted within restricted airspace. Anyone planning to watch from the water should check the official marine notices before heading out.
For the final day on Monday, September 7, check the current CIAS announcement or live coverage before travelling. The main points to confirm are the morning flying order, weather-related changes, transit conditions, parking availability, and any temporary waterfront restrictions.
A. Some public areas along the waterfront and parts of the CNE offer free viewing, and the STEM Runway is free. A ticket is required for the Exclusive Air Show Zone, which provides closer viewing, seating, narration, and other event facilities.
A. The ticketed zone opens at 10:00 a.m., with a pre-show water display planned for 11:30 a.m. Flying begins at noon. Arriving early is recommended because the CNE is also busy and the walk from transit or parking can take 10 to 30 minutes.
A. No. The Bailey Bridge is closed during the 2026 show. Use the British Columbia Road pedestrian crossing over Lakeshore Boulevard instead.
A. Some performances may be changed to a low or flat show, delayed, or cancelled if conditions are unsafe. Displays and some performer activities may continue. The organizers state that air show tickets are non-refundable, including in cases of inclement weather.
A. Drones are not permitted within the restricted airspace around the show. A marine exclusion zone is also in place over parts of Toronto Harbour and Humber Bay, and boaters must follow police and marine personnel instructions.
